War Amps address label mailing thanks donors for support

October 19, 2026 – The War Amps has started mailing 2026 address labels to households across the country as a tribute to the public for their support.

Twelve-year-old Maddux Kerr was born a double leg amputee and was enrolled in the CHAMP Program when he was still a baby. In the letter accompanying the address labels, his parents, Jessica and Allan, describe how The War Amps has supported their family. As a Champ, Maddux receives financial assistance for artificial limbs, peer connections through CHAMP events and so much more.

“At CHAMP seminars, we’ve had the chance to see that our family is not alone on this journey. We are reassured knowing that Maddux has amputee friends he can go to for advice when he needs someone who can relate to his situation better than us,” say Jessica and Allan.

“Thank you to everyone who donates to The War Amps. You have changed our lives, as well as our son’s life by helping him to enjoy being a kid.”

Sent as a thank you to supporters of The War Amps Key Tag Service, address labels are not just for envelopes! They can also be used to identify items like books, or for filling out name and address information on forms.

The War Amps receives no government grants; its programs are made possible through the public’s support of the Key Tag and Address Label Service. For more information, or to order address labels, visit waramps.ca or call 1 800 250‑3030.
